Since its inception, the motto, ‘No Pain No Gain’ underpins the promise made to Etienne Guigal to follow in his footsteps and pass on this family’s passion for the great wines of the Rhône Valley. Today, Marcel and Philippe, accompanied by their wives, are the guardians of this exceptional domain which brings together history, devotion and a sense of sharing.

The Cooperage at Château d’Ampuis
In 2003, the GUIGAL family, forever determined to improve its knowledge of wine and everything related, launched into a new venture: barrel making. This artisanal craft endows Maison Guigal with a unique status as some of its great wines lie in wait for up to 3 ½ years before being bottled.
